Current Projects: Legal Empowerment of Populace

A thirty-month project has been started to give legal empowerment to the populace, with the collaboration of LHRLA and SNPO (Swiss National Programme Office), to promote and strengthen human rights and civil society under a democratization process. Special efforts have been made to stress equality of all citizens before the law, elevating and supporting the under-privileged sections of society, namely the women and the poverty-stricken.

Create awareness and support systems for legal aid.

Service and provide legal aid.

Legal empowerment of women prisoners by giving them paralegal training.

Mobilize civil society so that they participate.

Progress of the Project

Production and distribution of Sindhi brochures.

Reproduction and re-distribution of Urdu and English brochures on public demand.

9 sets of posters produced and printed.

Three-day intensive orientation program.

Three seminars conducted in Larkana and Karachi.
